Reviews & Notes
Rick Watkins
"Made from clones 7, 76 and 95. (wine geek info). Harvested by hand and whole-cluster pressed. Fermented in neutral oak French barrels 10-20 years old. Aromas of pineapple, peaches and oranges. The mouthfeel is is rich with pear and tropical fruit with a firm streak of acidity on the finish. Drink now through 2025."

"Yowza! Boasts of perfectly ripe Central Coast fruit (rich texture with white peach and honeydew) raised by Burgundian techniques (toast, butter, popcorn kernel, coconut, rain drenched stones) and made to age. Intense but balanced with fresh acidity. Excellent to outstanding now, but with several years of cellaring potential. More Meursault than Puligny-Montrachet. Melville continues to confidently refine their wine style. (2013 tasted 30 Oct 2016)"
