From a family of immigrants who made their living from the land, the Lynn family have lived and worked in Coonawarra for four generations. Very early they recognized the vineyard potential of the land now revered as the terra rossa of Coonawarra. By the late 1960s they were planting vines and worked in selling quality fruit to well-known larger producers. By 1995 they had built their resources to be able to build an estate winery and a brand of their own. Today, brothers Anthony and Brian (who is affectionately known as “Prof”) work with winemaker Bruce Gregory to produce a small range of finely crafted, terroir-driven wines. The range specializes in classic Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz based wines, but they also work with higher altitude vineyards for expressive Riesling. Prof and his life partner Roz have traveled to Winnipeg numerous times, usually in the cold of January (intentionally), to visit us and our customers.
