Deep, dark ("indaco" is Italian for "indigo") and impressive, this is a wine to treat yourself. Full bodied, beautifully balanced and with incredible aromatic persistence, this blend is an amazing Malbec-Cabernet Sauvignon-merlot blend. Decant for an hour, or as long as you can wait.

Bulgaria is an old place with a new face. This is an ancient variety - Gamza - making a dry, medium-bodied gem with crunchy, zesty red fruits, lively acidity, balanced tannins, clean finish. Think Valpolicella with a bit of an attitude. Sustainably grown.

A lovely Sonoma County Chardonnay, with balanced acidity and measured oak influence, vibrant orchard and tropical fruit character, and a finish that calls for another sip.

One of my favourite places for beautiful, not-crazy-priced Bourgogne whites. Great complexity, freshness, energy, and finesse, with judicious oak treatment. Lovely with anything from soup to the cheese course.

Easy-going dry Rosé, nice fruit, well balanced, ready for a little chill and a small party.
Chile » Central Valley, 2023
Full-bodied, well-balanced, juicy and delicious Carmenère. With deep red and black fruit flavours, just an edge of leafy freshness, and smooth, ripe tannins, it is a lovely pair with stew or barbecue.

An absolutely delicious, tastes-like-more Piedmont red, a wine that hovers on the top of the nose and palate (fruit, herbal, floral) and holds a nice weight at the bottom (earthiness, a savoury edge, balanced tannins and acidity). The label image is taken from an actual vineyard leaf. Lovely.

Easy, well made and well balanced sparkling, nicely refreshing acidity and a hint of sweetness (true to extra dry category--less dry than brut).

Finally, an alcohol-free sparkling that tastes like a nice sparkling. Lovely interplay between crisp crunchy orchard fruit, bubbles and lively acidity, with balancing (and nice) amount of sweetness.

Give this beautiful wine a chance to open. On first pouring it is intense but tight, and after a few minutes opens to a medley of citrus and lemon oil, pastry, floral and nuts. The palate is fresh and lively with good tension and a tangy finish.

A plush, ripe Pinot Noir that shows its California warmth with forward fruit, smooth tannins and well balanced components. Easy drinking style, on its own or with an array of dishes. Serve slightly chilled (16C).

Like its label, Octopoda Pinot Noir lives large, with loads of beautiful fruit character, integrated oak, balanced acidity and a long warm-ish finish. Serve at 16C, best decanted. Serve with turkey, mushroom risotto or salmon. Or a nice cheese board and a glass of this could be a happy dinner.

A complex rosé from an iconic appellation and a masterful producer. Dry, with lovely red fruit character, a bit of spice and a nice structural backbone, carrying appetizers and main course beautifully. In fact, will make an art form from whatever you are serving.

Fresh and fruit-forward, no oak, not bone-dry, this is a lovely blend of Gros Manseng, under-celebrated southern France variety, and Sauvignon Blanc. Beautiful with holiday meals when when many flavours are present, or with foods showing a spicy kick, or both.
France
The nice pink of this Tempranillo rosado belies the really serious wine inside the glass: gorgeously defined and full of fruit, the palate is dry, flavourful and full of character, with a lovely finish. Delicious.
