8000 bottles produced. The 2016 Bianco Pop is 40% Incrocio Manzoni, 40% Pinot Bianco, 20% Durella from vines with an average age 40 years. The grapes are hand-harvested and fermentation begins using only natural yeasts. After a brief period of skin contact the wine is aged on its lees for 8 months in stainless steel. Bottled with minimal sulphite. An alluring bouquet of elderflower and yellow fruits. The taste is fresh, fruity an

Not your grandpa's Aglianico! Ultra elegant with fine grained tannins that hint at this wine's volcanic origins. Flavours of ripe black fruit, truffles, leather and hints of white pepper, clove and a long, complex finish. Crafted by Elena Fucci, one of Italy's rising star winemakers! Outstanding. Tasted the 2014 on March 31, 2018.

This wine could be classified as Brunello be it not for the fact that it comes from the world's highest density vineyard. At 62500 vines/hectare the vines truly are like bonsai trees and the grapes sourced from them ultra concentrated and complex. A fascinating wine that will age for 20 years but impossible to resist now. Only 500 bottles of this spectacular wine are produced each year. Dark red fruit, black tea leaf, leather, violet & tilled earth in a rich, spicy French oak frame. Excellent

A stand-out vintage from cult winery Emidio Pepe. Biodynamic, hand-picked, foot-trodden, and every bottle decanted and labeled by hand. Traditional wine that stands the test of time. Dark, rich black fruit with smoked meat, porcini mushroom, tobacco, leather supported by a fine, dusty tannins and fresh acidity. Endless layers of complexity and a finish that last for days. Decant before serving to truly appreciate all this amazing wine has to offer. Excellent.

I tasted this wine at Poggio di Sotto in March 2017 and fell in love. Classic Sangiovese, with flavours of dried cherry, dusty earth, violets and spice. 2009 was a warm year yet this wine maintains its freshness and a core of minerality, something that only the very best producers were able to do. Elegant and complex this wine reminds me of powerful red Burgundy with its fine-grained tannins and high-toned aromatics. An earlier drinking Brunello for those of us who don’t like to wait!

Wow is this tasting great! I sampled the 2015 at the winery in March but forgot just how yummy it was until I opened a bottle on the weekend. A smooth and delicious blend of Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah and Teroldego that always overdelivers for the price.

It's been a while since I tasted this wine and boy am I glad I revisited it. Tons of QPR value here! Heaps of ripe black fruit (without verging into the sweet side of things), plush, silky tannins and just enough acidity to keep things interesting! 100% Gaglioppo from organic grapes, with pretty aromas of blackberry, spice, and rose petals. Fans of Cali Cab & Aussie Shiraz that are looking to branch out to different regions should start here! Killer value for the price.

Italy's answer to Champagne! Toasty, tasty and a real treat. "Saten" refers to a style of Franciacorta that is bottled with slightly lower pressure, resulting in bubbles that are creamy and plush on the palate. 100% Chardonnay, with just a touch of oak influence. Like a little trip to Italy in every glass! Make this your next bottle of bubbles!
