The Euganei hills, mid-way between Venice and Verona in northeastern Italy, are somewhat of an insider’s secret. The vineyards that lie on these volcanic slopes have long been acknowledged as an incredibly rich and diverse growing environment, yet the reputation of the area has stood more on the shoulders of a few individual producers than on the amazing terroir. Reassi is one of these, growing grapes on only 6 hectares, all totally devoted to organic production. The vineyards and winery have been a family business for more than a century. Diego Bonato, the latest generation to come to grapegrowing and winemaking, has brought his education and world-class experience to their production. He brings both a profound respect for ancient traditions and a modern approach that seeks the best expression of the terroir.
