About the Producer
This well-respected small producer has raised the profile of the Marche region by focusing on a high standard of excellence. Ondine de la Feld and her uncle Stefano work with their historic regional grape varieties to bring out their most noble character, particularly the regional white, Verdicchio dei Castelli de Jesi. Their focus on old vines, tended with organic methods and vinified with respect, have earned a succession of coveted Tre Bicchieri awards; in in 2019 their single vineyard Misco Riserva received Gambero Rosso’s highest honour: White Wine of the Year. The estate also produces other celebrated Verdicchio whites, as well as reds from Montepulciano, Sangiovese and the ancient Lacrima for Lacrima di Morro.
Reviews & Notes
Sylvia Jansen
"Single vineyard Verdicchio, bright, crisp, complex with an alluring texture from lees ageing. Beautiful with mushroom-parmesan pizza, could go with a myriad of dishes. Could easily age for another half dozen years but would likely whisper its way out of the cellar before then."

"O la la! Intense ripe pear/honeydew/citrus with high acid and a juicy persistent saline finish. Unlimited food potential. Remarkable wine with lovely intensity without great weight. The 2015 vintage was Gambero Rosso's white wine of the year. (2016 tasted 13 Nov 2017)"
