Brothers Andrew and Peter-Allan learned the importance of their home in Walker Bay from their father Peter, who was a leader in world-class Pinot Noir from this corner of South Africa. Although they both studied for different professional fields, the work of wine brought them home to the beautiful Hemel-en-Aarde valley north of Hermanus. Andrew, architect by education, has taken on the vineyard management while Peter-Allan, philosophy/economics student, was drawn to winemaking. Their approach is “to nurture what comes off the vines” in each vintage, from respectful, sustainable viticulture to native yeast fermentations and minimal intervention. They began production with only a few thousand bottles and continue to produce small volumes of highly sought-after wines. All bottles are numbered.
