Reviews & Notes

"Casa Silva gives us a structured red that is strikingly good--a mouthful of red and black fruit, an herbaceous edge and food friendly tannin structure--a lot in one package."

"One of my favourite new world wines vintage after vintage. Intense, ripe black-currant/cherry/berry with fresh tobacco, green/red bell pepper; full body, ripe framing tannins, and a long juicy finish. Unafraid to be Carmenere. 2010 vintage tasted 26 Nov 2013"

"This wine puts a smile on my face as soon as I stick my nose in the glass. A fantastic and distinctive example of Chilean Carmenere. If I had to describe this wine in one word, it would be "spicy." However, there is a lot more to it. Medium bodied, with ripe notes of red cherries, blackberry, bell pepper and jalapeno."
