The Lloyd family of Coriole are both tradition-keepers and innovators. McLaren Vale’s history is in many ways defined by the sites on which the Coriole family vineyards grow. The Lloyd family have held and nurtured some of these remarkable old-vine Shiraz and Grenache vineyards. Their flagship Lloyd Reserve Shiraz is drawn from a site with century-old vines and speaks to the remarkable character of the region. At the same time, the family have also reached out to showcase the success of French varieties, including Cabernet Sauvignon, Mourvèdre, and Chenin Blanc, as well as Italian Sangiovese and Fiano. Their wines reflect both the amazing terroirs of the region as well as the passion of the family.
