A stunning Cava in a beautiful package. Beautiful, small bubbles last forever in the glass and the red fruit flavors last forever in your mouth. I could still taste it 3 minutes after I finished it off. A great alternative to Rose Champagne.

Made from the somewhat unknown grape Pais. Freshly crushed strawberry aromas float out of the glass, followed by a hint of rose petals. A great change of pace from the Gamay grape. Try it chilled down for a 1/2 hour in the fridge.

Such a beautiful wine. Well-balanced with a smoky, wild berry nose. Rose petals and a hint of gaminess comes through with time in the glass. This carries the 15% alcohol with no apparent heat and the finish is long and sweet. Great by itself but a stir fry with mushrooms would work great.

A new vintage of this staff favorite. The oldest vineyard of Syrah in Canada. Lots of earthy, gamey notes with a long, succulent finish. This would pair well with a juicy, medium-rare steak.

A lovely expression of Sonoma County Cabernet Sauvignon. Black fruits with a kiss of sweet American oak float from the glass. Fine-grained tannins with no hard edges at all. This vintage recently scored "94" points in a San Diego wine competition.

A very easy drinking style of wine that could be chilled down a bit on a hot summer day. Red fruits and soft tannins lead to a juicy, berry-filled red wine that is lovely on its own or pair with a salad with raspberries and strawberries.
Opened this for my birthday. What a stunning wine! This is the closest thing to Krug I have tasted at 1/4 the price. Made in a slightly oxidative style, it tastes like it has seen some amount of wood aging. Super creamy in the mouth and the mousse is very fine and persistent. Lots of brioche, yeast, baking bread and granny smith apple aromas and flavors. It's hard to say a $95.00 wine is a bargain but this one is. All I can say is WOW!!!

100% Graciano from 40 year-old vines. Black cherries, black plums and vanilla highlight the aromas and flavors. Long finish. Fire up some spicy sausage on the grill for this one!

A lovely medium-bodied Chilean Cabernet with hints of mint, blackberries and spice from American oak. Firm tannins and a long finish. Pair with a well-marbled steak.

A great food wine. Lots of silky tannins with a smoky nose filled with blackcurrants and forest floor after a rain. This opens up with food, (I paired it with a prime rib steak), and the finish is very long. Will keep for a few years but hard to resist now.

This will change your mind about what Beaujolais really is. Very full-bodied for a 100% Gamay wine, the Morgon "Cru" is always one of the most intense and long lived Beaujolais. The review on the Vinous website gave it "93" points and a drinking window of 2021 - 2028. With some air it opens up in the glass to a beautiful, black-fruited full-bodied wine with violets on the nose intermixed with crushed raspberries and black cherries. Lovely

What a lovely summer wine. Screams out for seafood, especially shrimp on the BBQ. Lovely peach, MacIntosh apple and lime flavors. The high acidity gets your mouth ready for food and wanting another glass of the beautiful wine.

Rick Watkins added a rating for Tedeschi Corasco.
Tedeschi continues its run of great vintages of this wine with the 2015. Air dried grapes add complexity and interest in this full-bodied, red-fruited wine. You can taste the intensity of the wine on the palate and this follows through to a well-defined, linear expression of Corasco.

A lovely Chardonnay that sees a little bit of French oak that adds some complexity and richness to the wine. Tropical fruit flavors with hints of vanilla and MacIntosh apples. Pair with roast chicken or enjoy on its own.

Wow! What a beautiful Rose. Light in color bur medium-weight in body and flavors. Bing cherries, strawberries, and some stone fruit flavors. Medium acidity. Wonderful by itself or I had it with Chinese food. Take it out of the fridge 1/2 hour before serving so the you can fully appreciate the aromas.
