"Bandol is a hilly region on the Mediterranean coast of Provence. It is a heat-sink capable of ripening Mourvedre. Restanques is Pibarnon's second wine intended for earlier drinking. Savoury, briary dark berry fruits are framed by tamed smooth tannins. The long finish draws out the herbs de Provence savoury notes. Balanced, long, intense and growing in complexity, this excellent wine should drink well for the next 5-8 years. Roasted/braised red meats. (2012 tasted 20 Aug 17)"
