Crowd pleasing red. Lots of jammy red fruits mingled with hints of mocha and a super soft mouth feel. Tried with Cajun rubbed pork tenderloin and a blueberry balsamic glaze.

My Favourite Rose of the summer so far. This wine is all about finesse with delicate flavours and aromas of strawberry, watermelon, and cranberry with a hint of fresh cut flowers.

I bought a bottle of this for my cellar based on it's great reputation. My curiosity got the better of me and opened it recently to my delight. Big plum flavours mingled with tart cherry, white pepper and mocha linger on the palate for what seems like an eternity. This was a peak into what I predict will be a classic.

Recently visited this Italian winery that used to be a 9th century village located in the heart of Chianti Classico. Pictures do not do this property justice (check out their website at The wine itself is an instant classic with layers of raspberries, flowers and vibrant acidity that will keep this going for years.

My passion for Sangiovese is unstoppable and this wine does not disappoint. Fresh and light but still intense with wild cherries and roses. The finish seems like it lasts for minutes. I could drink this everyday.

Winner winner with roast chicken dinner! Beautiful purple/violet colour. Flavours and aromas of red licorice nibs and fresh raspberry's. The wine is elegant and focused with a finish that lingers for minutes! Best Barbera I have ever tasted.

WARNING not for the faint of heart. This massive wine is highly concentrated with gobs of black fruits and big chewy tannins. Lay down for 5 years or decant and enjoy with a barbecued T-Bone.

The grape varietal Godello has been gaining popularity with European wine drinkers for the last couple of years and is recently being noticed by eager North American palates. This clean fresh white is a great example of what Godello has to offer. Subtle stone fruit flavours with pear and a hint peach on the nose. Great alternative for Pinot Grigio lovers.

Founded in the 1970's by the Duckhorn family this iconic winery gained a reputation for their outstanding Merlot however their Cabernet Sauvignon is what stands out for me. Deep dark violet in colour with black fruit compote, cassis and vanilla on the nose. Rich flavours of Saskatoon berries, blueberry jam and plums lead to a well integrated spicy finally.

Light and crisp with lemon, orange blossom and grapefruit pith on the palate. Tried with asian mandarin salad.
Italy » Veneto » Lugana, with a community rating of 91/100
This wine will definitely make the Toddini top 20 wines of 2016. Light with flavours of green apple, tangerine and lime. The crisp mouth watering finish would pair well with pan seared Manitoba Pickeral.
Italy » Emilia-Romagna, Trebbiano
This sweet bubbly wine from Italy is a great introduction to wine for the non wine drinker. I like to refer to this wine as the adult version of Dr. Pepper! Enjoy well chilled on its own or with your favorite Chinese take out.
