About the Producer
|
For more than 2 decades we have worked with this magnificent small Champagne house. Ployez-Jacquemart is directed by the third generation, Laurence Ployez, who carries on the values of her father and grandparents: passion, tradition and dedication. These are not platitudes, but rather they inform everything the house does: selecting only Grand Cru and Premier Cru fruit, working with growers who hold the same quality values, long ageing in the domaine cellars, and taking the today-rare extra step of nose-to-punt ageing following riddling. The result are Champagnes that possess a depth of character, freshness, balance, outstanding quality and the ability to age. Ployez-Jacquemart wines can be found at select retailers, fine wine bars and Michelin-star restaurants in Europe. Laurence is also often invited to speak about her wines at exclusive wine events and invitation-only shows; she has also found the time to visit Jones & Company here in Winnipeg.

| Jill Kwiatkoski "My favourite Champagne! Perfectly blended, gorgeous mousse, beautiful brioche that's not over the top... this is a gem!!! Get it... love it!" | | Sylvia Jansen "Aromatic, layered, elegant Champagne, with freshness, beautiful texture, complexity and bubbles that are like a pillow of loveliness on your palate, long finish. Very small house, 3rd generation winemaker. They call it "Extra Quality" for a reason: it is positively delicious." | | Mike Muirhead "This is the third best selling Champagne in Manitoba, for good reason. One of our favourite and most consistent producers - Laurence Ployez is the 3rd generation at her families estate. Hints of ripe pear and honey suckle with a very persistent bubble. A great way to ring in the new year!" | | Gary Hewitt "I've known Ployez-Jacquemart for more than 15 years--the wines have always been great. The current non-vintage EQ Brut is a classic citrus-apple, brioche and nuts, creamy, tittilating, lingering party in your mouth. Drink this wine.
(non-vintage tasted 13 Sept 2018)" |
