| Gary Hewitt "Wow, this wine needs a decoder ring. Sori is a sun-favoured vineyard; Giul is the nickname of the younger generation owner at the winery; and Freisa is a little known native Piedmont grape variety related to nebbiolo. Or, just drink it! especially with Italian foods. It's like an approachable Barolo--fresh, juicy red berry fruit with savoury notes and a gentle frame of tannins. Drink now or over 2-4 years. EXCELLENT. (2012 tasted 31 July 2016)" |
