Wanted to check in on where this is. Pansa Blanca (one of the grapes of Cava) is the star of this one. With lees aging you find there is some more richness on the palate. Nose has some earthiness, creamsicle, bruised pear, and slight citrus. Medium to full on the palate. Drink now while still available.

The Grüner revolution continues. I love this grape. Such a great alternative for a fresh, zippy summer sipper. This Austrian delivers on all levels. Fresh lime, slate, and peach fuzz on the nose. Refreshingly bright green apple acidity on the palate, and a clean long finish. Already thinking about fresh pickerel on the deck.

Finally back in stock!! Flotsam Jetsam Chenin is an dry farmed (no irrigation in growing season), old vine Chenin Blanc. DON'T DRINK TOO COLD. Took it out of the wine fridge at 6 degrees, and was much more expressive once it warmed up a bit. Guava, honeydew melon, white flowers, with a beautiful texture and long finish. A bit warming on the finish. Had with curry (not too spicy) and was wonderful

I was waiting for a big California Pinot, and although it did have a lot of fruit quality it was decidedly a great example of Pinot Noir. Bright cherry, some caramel tones, strawberry yop (yes yop). Easy drinking palate with a fresh clean finish. Well made.

I'm coming around to the fresh fruity GluGlu wines that these regions are producing. This is Schivia (when was the last time you had a Schivia!!!) and it was wonderful. Fresh cranberry, flowering fruit, red flowers, with a medium light body and fresh finish. Picnic wine - has me thinking about a hike.

Sometimes it is good to revisit an old friend that you haven't spoken to in a while. It had been over a year since I tried our #1 selling Cab in the store. It wont be a year before I try it again. Checks all the boxes - Blackberry, Red Fruits, Rich, Full, Long finish, easy to love. There is a reason it is on top!!
United States, Cabernet Sauvignon, with a community rating of 94/100
Great value, and a great wine. If you haven't tried Vinho Verde - you are missing out! Low alcohol, slightly effervescent, with great lime zest, white flowers and a fresh zippy finish. Its natural pairing is with oysters, but great aperitif, or with your salad course.

I'm a sucker for Grenache Blanc - and this one lives up to my expectations!! Rich and opulent on the palate - lots of fresh melon, creamsoda, and a long persistent finish. Had with herbed sous-vide chicken. V-good!

A favourite of mine. This Vermentino is great now, and going to be great in a few more years as well. Lemon drop, waxy, complex palate that will gain some weight as it develops. Have a couple for now, a couple for later in the cellar.

Wow. Yummy. Had the best of old world complexity and new world fruit, with a healthy dose of vanilla from the American oak. A new favourite!

I tend to avoid Zin - bad choice, I forgot how diverse this grape can be. This new one from Lange Twins is right up my alley. A good balance of jammy fruit, and briary aromas. It had me dreaming of summer barbeques in our near future. Warming alc, but very balanced with velvety tannins.

Was lucky to have a tasting of some of Tuscany's best last night. Always showing at the top of their game the DCC Brunello was magnificent. Subtle cherry, leather, sinewy tannins, and a long finish that paired perfectly with my Braised Beef Gnudi. Going to put a couple of these in the cellar for a few years down the road.
