Cahors is ancestral home of Malbec; Clos Triguedina excels: their Rosé is structured, delicious, great with summer main courses.

I truly cannot say enough about this awesome Sangria from our friends at Sanviver!! If you like a little more zip, this is the perfect sangria for you! The hints of spice notes and deep red fruits of the wine are simply a perfect combination and absolutely perfection on a hot summer day! Enjoy with good friends while your feet dangle in the pool. :)

Leyda Valley Pinot Noir... its one of a kind. The perfect region in Chile for Pinot Noir, Undurraga has been producing amazing wines for decades and this wine is a great example of their works. Notes of ripe cherries, red plums & pomegranate dance on your palate with wonderfully balanced tannins and acidity. This Pinot Noir is a great wine for the summer and for those lighter dishes like grilled chicken, pork, or appetizers. Enjoy!

My Favourite Rose of the summer so far. This wine is all about finesse with delicate flavours and aromas of strawberry, watermelon, and cranberry with a hint of fresh cut flowers.

From cool Chilean coastline, fresh, tropical Sauvignon Blanc; zippy acidity, nice weight. Pair with fresh herb-seasoned dishes!

Rich red with ripe fruit framed by oak vanilla and spice. Ready to drink now but balanced to age mid-term. The complexity grows with repeated sips. Aussie ripeness but not over the top and well-integrated spicy oak. (2014 tasted 29 July 2017)

Solid, balanced, true Cotes du Rhone showing complex red-black fruit character, garrigue-herbs, and subtle iron-blood-bay leaf notes. Not flashy but with lots of character. Balanced for food and ready to drink. Very good, and good value. Drink now and over next 2-4 years. Jaume consistently makes true to region high quality to price ratio wines. It's fascinating to think of Riesling coming from the near-desert of the interior of Washington State. Yet Ch. Ste Michelle is among the largest Riesling producers in the world!! This single vineyard offering exhibits clear Riesling varietal character with intense lemon-lime, toast, honey, and high acidity to balance residual sweetness. This should age nicely for another 3-8 years. An excellent regional example of Riesling--compare it with your favourites. (2014 tasted 29 July 2017)

Full disclosure: I love good Franken Silvaner. This is it. Layers of citrus and raw almost silt-like stones with just-ripe pear-apple-melon fruit and dried chamomile. Medium body, fresh, lingering citrus-finish. A titch of uber-ripe confection sneaks in on the finish, but so what? Crustaceans, white fish, veal, ... Wonderbar! (2015 tasted 29 July 2017)

Mineral-driven, old-vine Xarel-lo showing 6 months well spent on lees (but no oak). Wet stones and citrus; building depth on the palate; refreshing finish; not showy but extremely well made. Great now for its nervous intensity. Tough to know how this will age, but I'm willing to set a couple aside to find out over 2-5 years. The kinship with good Cava shows. Excellent.
